Vessel Operation

CAUTION
!
THE BOAT TRIM SHOULD BE ADJUSTED TO PROVIDE
BALANCED STEERING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE EACH
TIME YOU GET UNDERWAY. SOME BOAT/ENGINE/
PROPELLER COMBINATIONS MAY CREATE BOAT
INSTABILITY AND/ OR HIGH STEERING TORQUE WHEN
OPERATED AT OR NEAR THE LIMITS OF THE “BOW
UP” OR “BOW DOWN” POSITIONS. BOAT STABILITY
AND STEERING TORQUE CAN ALSO VARY DUE TO
CHANGING WATER CONDITIONS. IF YOU EXPERIENCE
BOAT INSTABILITY AND/OR HIGH STEERING TORQUE,
SEE YOUR AUTHORIZED REGAL DEALER.
Shallow Water Operation
Operating your vessel in shallow water presents
various hazards. You are more apt to hit a
submerged object such as a rock, sand bar, stump,
logs, coral, or other unmarked objects.
Pay close attention to your chart for descriptions
of any shallow areas along with marked submerged
objects. Always post a lookout when operating in
shallow water. Trim your outdrive up as needed to
provide adequate draft. Set the alarm on your depth sounder and travel
at a speed that keeps the boat level in these shallow areas.
If your boat strikes a submerged object stop immediately and
check for hull, outdrive and propeller damage.
